Kurhotel Skodsborg, also known as Skodsborg Spa Hotel, is a luxury spa and fitness hotel located in Skodsborg, Denmark. Situated on the Strandvejen coastal road, approximately 15 km north of Copenhagen, it offers a tranquil setting away from urban hustle and bustle.

The hotel features 85 modern luxurious rooms and suites, all adorned in a contemporary Nordic design. These range from Superior to Deluxe and Mini Suites, with many rooms presenting captivating views of the sea or the verdant garden.

Guests at the Kurhotel Skodsborg hotel are treated to a world-class spa and fitness center, envisioned and crafted by the renowned Henning Larsen Architects. This architectural wonder offers 16 distinct hot and cold bathing experiences, including the rejuvenating hydrospa.

Once an 18th century palace, and now the location of Denmark’s premier health spa the Kurhotel Skodsborg building was definitely impressive. White pillars, white walls, huge glass windows and the name proudly emblazoned on front, this is a place to be proud of.

And I had two glorious nights to explore.

Arriving at the Kurhotel Skodsborg

I stumbled along with my 22kg suitcase sure that it was a right turn out of Skodsborg train station, but not super definitely sure.

I asked a local if they knew where the Kurhotel was and when she gestured behind her, and I saw the huge white building I realised how stupid it was of me to think she didn’t. The Kurhotel Skodsborg is huge.

One lift later and I found it.

The Rooms

The Kurhotel Skodsborg has 85 different rooms that are all fairly luxurious. Mine had all the basics but lots of little extras like a gorgeous wooden headboard and healthy snacks that just elevated everything.

It was kind of like a large chain feel, where decor isn’t too in your face, but you can tell it’s high quality. It has everything like TV, wifi, hairdryer, safetybox, and more.
