12 Best Festivals in July Around the World
Looking for the best festivals in July? Want to immerse yourself in vibrant and diverse cultures worldwide? They’re all here…
If you’re anything like me, July means one thing: festivals. Long, lazy days that roll into music-filled nights, fields full of good vibes, street food, and the kind of spontaneous dancing that only happens when the sun’s out and the soundtrack’s just right. From glitter-streaked music festivals in the UK to cultural celebrations that take over entire cities abroad, July really brings the party.
Whether you’re looking for a weekend of camping and chaos, a city break with samba, or just a reason to throw on something ridiculous and dance with strangers, I’ve rounded up the best festivals happening this July – tried, tested (and slightly sunburned) for your pleasure.
1. Tomorrowland, Belgium
18th – 20th July + 25th to 27th July 2025
There are festivals – and then there’s Tomorrowland. With jaw-dropping stage designs, crowds waving flags from every corner of the planet, and epic fireworks it’s easy see why this Belgian mega-festival is at the top of so many travellers’ bucket lists.

Held over two weekends every July in Boom, Belgium (yes, that’s really the name), Tomorrowland is one of the biggest and most iconic electronic music festivals in the world. Over 400,000 people, more than 15 stages, and some of the biggest DJs on the planet – from David Guetta and Martin Garrix to techno legends and emerging talent. But it’s not just about the music.
The entire site is like walking into a fantasy world. Think surreal art installations, immersive stage themes (every year has a different story), and a vibe that somehow manages to be both epic and friendly at the same time. There’s even a Tomorrowland newspaper printed daily, and a pop-up ‘DreamVille’ campsite city with its own bakery, yoga classes, and hair salon – because, priorities.
Tomorrowland isn’t just a weekend – it’s a full-blown experience.
2. EXIT Festival, Serbia
10th – 13th July 2024
I went to EXIT Festival in Serbia a few years ago – gawd we had a good time. Definitely one of my favourite festival experiences to date!

Imagine dancing all night on the ancient ramparts of the Petrovaradin Fortress looking over the Danube – sounds cool hey?
EXIT started as a student protest for peace and democracy in 2000, and that spirit still lingers in its DNA. Now, it’s a full-blown music festival attracting massive names across techno, rock, hip hop, drum & bass, house, and pop. Everyone from The Prodigy and Grace Jones to Nina Kraviz and Skepta has played here.
