Honest Lagomandra Beach Hotel Review (Sithonia in Halkidiki, Greece)
We stayed at the Lagomandra Beach Hotel at the start of May, which we soon found out was a little premature. But, even though it was nippy (and rained!) I wanted to share our experience to help with the difficult choice between Halkidiki hotels…
The 4-star Lagomandra Beach Hotel is located on the second ‘leg’ or ‘finger’ as they’re known, of Halkidiki’s three. It’s just off the pine-shaded sandy shore of Lagomandra Beach, meaning you have both the hotel pools and the sea for your swimming.
We paid £110 on 5th May 2025 for one night, with breakfast and dinner for the three of us in a Junior Suite with Sea View.
There’s Lagomandra Beach Hotel, and then Lagomandra Hotel & Spa just behind. By staying at one, you get access to the facilities at both – bit of a bonus!

We stayed in a ‘Junior Suite with Sea View’. There were so many different names for the rooms it was a tough call, but we just went for the most floor space seeing as there was three of us. It was clean and bright, with a large bathroom, a balcony and a fridge. We had a large double bed, and the sofa bed was made up for Reggie.
We did have a problem with the bathroom on the second day, in that the door wouldn’t open on the shower. They sent someone up straight away and he fixed it ASAP – which did end up being about an hour but these things happen, I guess.
The room also included air-con, a safe, and Wi‑Fi. Parking was free, and we got a space just outside the hotel (rather than in the car park over the road).
Pools at Lagomandra Beach Hotel
First off, Reggie and I were desperate to get in the pool. We could see it from our balcony and the fact no one was in it made me a little suspicious. We got changed, went down, poked our feet in, and yes, it was COLD.
We didn’t let that hold us back though, and in we jumped. The pool was a good size, with a shallower kiddie bit off the side but still connected.
There was a pool bar there serving very large servings of Prosecco, which I enjoyed thoroughly.
It was easy to get to the other hotel over the road, via a lift and a bridge – which of course my three year old loved. The Lagomandra Hotel & Spa’s pool was definitely better, but if you stay at the Lagomandra Beach Hotel, you’re obviously closer the beach, and have the better view from your balcony.
